The Panchayat consists of 7 wards and has 07 elected representatives. (Male 04 and female 03). There are 1084 households and it has a population of 4429, with 2305 males and 2124 female population approximately.
The Panchayat has 01 Government Primary School, with an enrollment of 28 students. There are 02 Anganwadi Centres, one situated at Morrod, Sangolda with 18 children and one at 20 Point Programme, Sangolda with 16 children respectively. There is one Sub Health Centre. The approximate distance from Panchayat to Primary Health Centre, Candolim is 7.9 Kms and North District Hospital, Mapusa is 8.7 kms. The major source of income for the Panchayat is the House tax, fees, grant –in- aid and other grants.
